Early this Saturday morning, the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez highlighted the importance of ensuring security in the state of La Guaira in order to facilitate the search and rescue of survivors, as well as the mobilization of machinery, food, units for transporting the injured and the brigades of rescuers and doctors.
“Yesterday afternoon, we restricted access to the state of La Guaira; a state that is militarized to ensure security. More than 14,000 officials, both military and police, are in the state and will, in addition to doing so, will be doing permanent patrols to guarantee the peace of mind needed for the work for the work that is being carried out both in the rescue and in the recovery of the state,” he explained.
He indicated that in addition to facilitating the work of rescuers and doctors, this measure will also allow “health prevention measures to be taken because there are ongoing processes resulting from people who lost their lives and we have to take actions and measures to prevent any type of health situation.”
“We appreciate that the restriction on access to this state is maintained so that work is allowed and that any type of work that our health personnel, our security personnel and rescues them is not disturbed,” he said.
