The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, received this Monday, June 29, the leader of the United States Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART), Enn Magee, in order to coordinate the response after the double earthquake that occurred in the country.

During the technical work session, the Presidential Press portal reported, the authorities are focusing their efforts on three fundamental lines of action to address the emergency: the optimization of rescue operations, the effective distribution of humanitarian aid and comprehensive logistics for the establishment of temporary camps.

By articulating this international cooperation mechanism, the Bolivarian Government reinforces field capacities aimed strictly at streamlining technical assistance and safeguarding the integrity of affected families.

The president in charge was accompanied by the Sectorial Vice President of Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón; the Sectorial Vice President of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez; the Administrative and Digital Government Sectorial Vice President, Anabel Pereira; and the Vice Chancellor for Europe and North America, Oliver Blanco.

The high-level North American delegation was attended by the chargé d'affaires, John M. Barret; M/G Kevin Joseph Jarrard, an expert in natural disaster care and coordination; and the military attaché, Colonel Ian Murray, who jointly evaluate contingency plans in the national territory.
