President in Charge: We have recovered electricity and water service in La Guaira by more than 90%

He stressed that currently evaluation processes are being carried out for roads, buildings and other systems and services.

During the press conference given to international media, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, highlighted the efforts to recover electricity and water services carried out by the national government in the state of La Guaira.

“Currently in the electricity service, we have 90% recovery and the like in the water distribution system, but we distribute 5 million liters of water to those affected during the first days of this tragedy,” he said and stressed that processes are currently being carried out to evaluate roads, buildings and other systems and services.

“We have been evaluating the roads, the buildings (...) just to see the extent of the impact of this double earthquake,” he said.

He stressed that as part of the actions for the evaluation and actions for the recovery of infrastructure, Venezuela received an Israeli team specialized in this area.

“A team arrived in the country from Israel that was contacted by the Jewish community, and to have here at this time a specialized group that initiates the protocol for the determination and recovery of infrastructure that did not completely collapse but that may have damage,” he said.
