President Maduro: 97% of CLAP are produced in Venezuela for more than 7 million families

During his Annual Message to the Nation, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday that 97% of the products distributed through the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) are produced in our country.

“The CLAP were born to save the people, first the CLAP came from abroad, almost 85% came from abroad, today 97% of the CLAP are produced in Venezuela for more than 7,600,000 families,” said the National Executive.

In this regard, he stressed that all the efforts that have been made to serve the People, such as the CLAP, the Sovereign Field Fairs and to protect income, are what have allowed the reduction of the nutritional deficit, which this year reached 6.5%, “the lowest since 2017.”
