President Maduro: Imperialism funds right-wing sectors to attack from within the country

President Nicolás Maduro denounced that imperialism does not rest on its intention to overthrow the Bolivarian Revolution and as proof of this is that they are funding groups and individuals within the country to rant against the Bolivarian Government.

“We have seen the discovery of groups that have been infiltrated for years within our ranks, alien to the revolutionary process, they hide behind some NGO, receive thousands of euros and dollars from USAID and other institutions, with the purpose of financing right-wing sectors to attack from within,” he warned during a meeting with the leadership of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), governors and mayors.

He recognized in a self-critical way that, although there may be discontent, we must be careful with sectarianism and divisionism.

“Now imperialism is dealing with a left-wing discourse to undermine the popular union that we have built and we must defend and solidify with truth, work, struggle and solutions to the problems of our people,” he said.
