The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Thursday, October 2, approved the resources and issued instructions aimed at specifying a set of socio-productive and road projects in the “Bicentennial Era” Commune, in El Junquito, in Caracas.
“That nothing is delayed, one by one I want to see them concrete,” he said.
In the framework of Thursday of Communes, he visited the aforementioned commune to evaluate the progress of projects in the agricultural field, with the purpose of continuing to promote production and the national economy.
“The Collection Center is a priority, this entire access road is a priority. Everything is a priority. I want to come in December, to eat hallacas and at that moment to inaugurate all the works I'm approving,” he said.
During his tour of the areas of the commune, the head of state assured that this population has the support of the Bolivarian Government to continue strengthening its development, allowing for further progress towards the comprehensive social welfare of the entire Venezuelan population.
The projects approved by President Maduro are strategically aimed at strengthening domestic production from the grassroots. The initiatives will promote key areas such as: Urban agriculture; animal husbandry, food transformation and development of other socio-productive initiatives that seek to generate direct well-being for families in the Commune.
The Bolivarian Government seeks to consolidate the productive capacities of organized communities, especially that of El Junquito, which has 138 producers; to make urban agriculture and food sovereignty a central axis of popular development.
