The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, responded this Monday to the President of Chile, José Antonio Kast, about the president's alleged intentions to re-establish relations between the two countries, while he attacks the Venezuelan people.

“It's strange that José Antonio Kast talks about 're-establishing relationships' while turning every statement into an attack against Venezuela and against Venezuelans,” Gil said in a message posted on his social networks.

He stressed that in this way “it's impossible to talk seriously about consular or diplomatic relations: you can't ask for dialogue while you sow contempt, or talk about respect while you attack,” he emphasized.

In this regard, the Venezuelan diplomat stressed that the Chilean president speaks only to the extreme right, beyond foreign policy what it is about is “a lot of noise, a lot of pose and very little seriousness”.
