The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the presentation of the report and account for the year 2023, reiterated his commitment to the
recovery of Venezuela and not to give up or betray the people.
In this regard, the head of state assured that the country's recovery will
be achieved, as before, with his own efforts, while assuring from
the National Assembly that “we will never give up, we will never
betray Bolívar, we will never betray Chávez.”
“We are pushing hard forward and achieving our
own path, our own formula in a multidimensional way, overcoming the
war. Likewise, new and important alliances are being made with companies around
the world; obtaining important impressions guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws.”
The national dignitary indicated that in 2023 Venezuela showed an increase
of 12.3% in crude oil exports “generating an increase in oil
exports and a recovery of our blocked and attacked PDVSA (Petroleum
of Venezuela) industry. In addition, he highlighted the strength of those
who make up the oil company “in their internal activities, despite the sanctions and the corrupt
mafias that became entrenched in the industry and put themselves at the service of plans of national destruction.”
I specify that the year 2023 closed giving the Nation 6,230
million direct dollars and recalled that “we went from 54 billion dollars to 700
million dollars. Last year we reached close to 5 billion
dollars and we have still taken a modest step, but we have taken it with our
own efforts, with the guts”.
He also explained that from PDVSA's income, “we pay
salaries, we invest to maintain health and education missions, we have free and quality public
education, we have free quality public health recovering, we build
500 thousand homes.”
