The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, urged the creation of a more effective mechanism to replace the Security Council of the United Nations (UN).
In a statement, the Iranian Government indicated that the Security Council has demonstrated its impotence and inefficiency, and “has demonstrated to all peoples of the world that they should not trust these organizations”, in the face of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which has caused the death of more than 20,000 people in the Gaza Strip and some 1,200 in Israel, reported the Sputnik.com portal.
According to Raisi, “it is necessary to seek another mechanism to establish peace and security in the world” other than the Security Council of the UN Organization in its operation.
“The case of the Gaza Strip removed the mask of hypocrisy from the United States and demonstrated to everyone that it commits crimes and genocide,” Raisi said during the International Conference on Palestine, which took place this Saturday in Tehran.
“The same people who say they are fighting genocide and racial discrimination are the biggest perpetrators of racial discrimination and genocide,” he added.
