President of PDVSA praised the work of workers in the oil industry

From the La Carlota Convention Center, in Caracas, the president of Petrleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón, praised this Friday the work of workers in the oil industry to advance the country's economic growth in the midst of sanctions and blockade.

During a meeting with oil workers, led by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, Obregón stressed that, in the face of adversity, the men and women of the industry “have always had a lot of tenacity, a lot of dedication, endless hours on call in operational emergencies that have guaranteed that Petrleos de Venezuela maintains its operation in everything that is the country's oil, gas and refiner production chain” .

He highlighted the new modern business models and schemes that were implemented by industrial workers who “brought the results we know today. In 2025, these contractual schemes, materialized with the workers, achieved an investment of more than 900 million dollars for the country,” he explained.

In addition, Obregón said that they managed to recover refining capacity, “and today in capacities exceeding 350,000 barrels of processing, which has made it possible to guarantee fuel demand without requiring importation.”

“Simply my thanks to these workers for living in the sector and for every day contributing to Venezuela having oil, gasoline, and enough gas to move the country,” he stressed.
