The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, requested that the Law on the Extinction of Domains and the Law on the Recovery of Venezuelan Assets Abroad be used to investigate where opposition political parties obtain resources to finance their operations and the new robbery of the nation they want to do while keeping the imaginary AN of 2015 “alive”.

During the plenary session of the AN this Thursday, Rodríguez referred to the right-wing First Justice party which, in his opinion, is being financed with resources from Venezuela that have been stolen through the imaginary AN, which extended its “operation” for this year and appointed Dinorha Figuera as its president.

“You can't be a leader of that party, use Citgo's resources to finance it and then pretend to be a pristine political party to participate in elections of any kind in Venezuela (...) That lady and others approved continuing to steal Citgo's money. Who controls that, in which comptroller's office are they accountable?” , he stressed.

In the same way, he emphasized that the above-mentioned legal instruments should also be used so that the political parties in which those who approved maintaining the “imaginary AN” militate assume responsibility and, if their connection with these actions is proven, the assets of the political tent are used to compensate for property damage to the State.

“Within a period of no more than a week, we must know the names, surnames, identity card and place of residence of each of those who committed the crime, from at least last January 5, 2023, and to know if the boards of directors of those parties where these criminals are active approved those actions or not. If they passed, they are complicit and the Domain Extension Act can go against them,” he stressed.

He also recalled how the prosecutor appointed by Juan Guaidó in his government of Narnia acted in “conchupance” with the transnational company Cristalex so that, through legal “tricks”, it could appropriate Citgo's assets in the United States.

“Guaidó irregularly used resources from Citgo, which demonstrates the ownership of the “Government of Venezuela” over Citgo and that is why they decide to liquidate it. Let those citizens who are first of all usurping public office be investigated one by one!” , he noted.
