The president of the Colombian company Grupo Gilinski, Jaime Gilinski Bacal, expressed his gratitude to Venezuela for signing the new agreement, which he defined as a declaration of shared faith in the future of the country, of the people and as a commitment to sustainable results within the framework of respect and discipline.

“I am grateful for the trust placed in us by signing the agreement that allows us to develop together with PDVSA (Petrleos de Venezuela SA) the Bare field in the Orinoco Oil Belt,” Gilinski said in statements to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

He stressed that “this agreement is not simply a commercial transaction, it is a declaration of shared faith in the future of Venezuela, in its people, in the immense potential of its natural resources. When the Gilinski group decides to invest in a country, it does so thinking about decades, not quarters,” he said.

Gilinski stressed that the development of this oil block “will be done in an environmentally responsible manner, applying the highest environmental management standards that we have implemented in each of our blocks, responsible to the communities of the Orinoco Belt, who must see in this project a source of progress, decent employment and well-being, and responsible to Venezuela as a nation, understanding that well-managed oil is a development tool for millions of families.”
