President Rodríguez visited Casita Azul and Casa de los Abuelos in Anzoátegui

This Tuesday, September 8, the President
of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, visited the new Blue House for the care
of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, as well as the
Casa de los Abuelos, during a day of social care in the state of Anzoátegui.
During the activity, Rodríguez shared
with the boys and girls who are being cared for in these spaces that it has
the first multisensory room in the country, designed for self-regulation, sensory
stimulation and cognitive and emotional development.
In addition, this infrastructure, which has four therapy
offices, a doctor's office, a physical therapy room and a children's
playground, also has units for neurology, pediatrics,
psychology, psychopedagogy, nutrition, mental health, language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, behavior
therapy, areas for family counseling and schools for parents
This new Casita Azul, which can accommodate
more than 300 families and its services are free of charge, is
part of a network of nine spaces of this type distributed in different
municipalities of Anzoátegui.
During the day, Rodríguez also visited the
Casa de los Abuelos, where he enjoyed a cultural exhibition, which he shared
with older adults, who are provided with comprehensive care in these spaces.
The Grandparents' House has
general doctors, physiatrists, nurses, recreational therapists and support staff. In turn, they have
areas for recreational activities, barbershop, hairdresser, manicure and spa,
as part of an approach aimed at the physical and emotional well-being of older adults.
In Anzoátegui, there are 32 branches of this program, which have served more than 112,000 older adults.
