The program “August in colors and stories” culminated in the temporary camp of the National School of Performing Arts César Rengifo, in the Altagracia parish of Caracas, with the reading of the works Skull, Simon and Nevado and We Know the Liberator.
The day was led by the oral narrator José Gregorio Cabello and Professor Hugo Vidal, who accompanied boys, girls and young people in an approach to the exploits and the human side of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, through reading and drawing.
During the activities, the participants developed their own interpretations of the texts and captured different scenarios of the Venezuelan geography through artistic compositions. “They developed their own speech based on what they had read. That's very valuable,” Cabello said.
The initiative, promoted by the Ayacucho Library, consisted of eight sessions and will continue during September with the analysis of new texts, as part of comprehensive care actions for communities in transitional camps.
