The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, described a terrorist attack by Ukraine against the border city of Belgorod last Saturday as a terrorist action.
“What just happened in Belgorod is undoubtedly a terrorist act. (...) What they did was attack from multiple rocket launchers (...) and with this weapon they attacked the center of the city, where people walk, before New Year's Eve,” said Putin.
In this regard, he pointed out that Kiev is not the enemy of the Eurasian country but “those who want to destroy the Russian State... and are mainly in the West”.
In addition, he asserted that this attack will not go unpunished while stressing that “Russia will intensify attacks against military installations in Ukraine.”
According to the TELESUR website, the targeted Ukrainian attack left 24 people dead and more than 100 injured, all civilians.
