REDI Los Llanos neutralized 14 aircraft and 57 camps linked to drug trafficking in 2025 (+balance sheet)

With the execution of an extensive strategic deployment aimed at safeguarding sovereignty and internal order throughout the llanero territory, the Los Llanos Strategic Integral Defense Region (REDI) recorded a positive operational balance during the year 2025.

Through Operation Vuelvan Caras, in Apure state, the Rapid Reaction Units (URRA) combat units were able to neutralize 14 aircraft used for drug trafficking, in addition to disabling four clandestine runways, the seizure of more than 1,400 kilograms of drugs, 80 firearms, 26 boats, 35 outboard engines and 32,000 liters of fuel, and 40 camps, 23 laboratories and 34 logistics structures were destroyed.

With Operation Iron Hand, permanent control has been maintained of border crossings and trails where more than 20 tons of food, oil and lubricants from vehicles, 653 cubic meters of wood, 631 stopped vehicles and 621 motorcycles were seized.

In the state of Guárico, with Operation Zaraza, a resounding blow was struck against structured organized crime groups and criminal cells that sought to create anxiety in the region, with actions that allowed 32 legal interventions to be carried out, a thousand 42 detainees, the seizure of 164 firearms, 17 dismantled logistics camps, as well as the arrest of satellite connection equipment, telephones, radios, among others.
