Scientific seedbeds promote interest to children in Sucre

As part of the pedagogical actions of the National Scientific Semilleros Program, more than 241 students from the Moralba Urbaneja Educational Complex, located in the Arenas parish of the Montes municipality in the state of Sucre, experienced an educational day in the nine areas of scientific and technological knowledge.

During the activity, as reported by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), students in general secondary education carried out scientific experiments and practical activities using basic sciences that cover chemistry, physics, mathematics, astronomy, ecosocialism, and production for health.

The facilitators of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Sucre) and specialists from the Center for the Development of Educational Quality (CDCE), demonstrated to young people the uses of robotics and computing for development and the importance of aquaculture production, without forgetting the need to protect and preserve the environment.

The activity included the participation of the Foundation for Aquaculture Research and Development in the state of Sucre, Fundambiente, the Infocentro Foundation and the University of Oriente.

In addition to the pedagogical support of 19 teachers from the educational institution, who guided the young people in a practical and theoretical learning circuit.
