The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Thursday the “transcendental step” represented for the country by the approval of the Reform of the Hydrocarbons Law.

“I know that in the eyes of every mother, of every father is hope for their children. I know that in the eyes of every grandfather, of every grandmother there is hope for their grandchildren and granddaughters,” Rodríguez said from the Miraflores Palace, where he received the great march of the working class.

He indicated that the reform was approved “for the first time with unanimity of all the political party diversity in the National Assembly,” and “it must be received with the spirit that must be undertaken from now on of democratic coexistence between Venezuelans and Venezuelans regardless of the differences that exist, but that it be done with respect and with deep respect for the dignity of every human being.”

In this regard, he expressed his satisfaction at having signed this law, “so that it enters into full force, handed over today to the hands of the deputies of Venezuela so that those large (oil) reserves are definitely and forever the happiness of our people.”
