This Thursday morning, several people were injured due to a shooting at a high school in Iowa, USA, shortly before the start of classes.

“Luckily there were very few students and teachers in the building,” said Dallas County Police Chief Adam Infante, who said that for the time being he did not specify the number of people injured or their condition.

Local media said that, according to police sources, the perpetrator of the shootings was a high school student and died.

“There is no more danger to the public. The community is safe,” Infante said, according to NBC. “We are now working to try to find out everything that happened,” he said.

It is worth noting that the North American country has more weapons than inhabitants: one adult out of three has at least one gun and almost one adult out of two lives in a house where there is a gun, Télam reported.
