Spain sends 14 tons of humanitarian aid and a contingent of 59 officials to support Venezuela

Venezuela received a shipment of 14 tons of humanitarian aid from Spain, sent as a show of solidarity with the Venezuelan people after the strong earthquakes in the country. The main objective of this international contribution is to strengthen assistance and safeguard mechanisms for the civilian population affected by the earthquake.

The shipment contains a variety of essential supplies specifically designed for rescue and protection tasks in areas of greatest impact. Among the basic logistical materials distributed in this shipment are blankets, mats and other essential supplies for care in shelters and collection centers.

Simultaneously with the entry of material resources, 59 officials belonging to the Special Military Unit of Spain arrived in the national territory. This team of specialists will be immediately incorporated into field deployments and support tasks coordinated by Venezuelan authorities for the benefit of citizens.

The arrival of this European humanitarian bridge adds to the scheme of international cooperation and solidarity activated to address the emergency in the country. Spanish personnel and supplies will be integrated into local logistics commands, with the purpose of streamlining the distribution of aid and optimizing search and rescue operations in the field.
