The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reiterated that those opponents who are disqualified cannot register as candidates in the next presidential elections.
In this regard, he indicated that the Unitary Platform “is in a maze with no way out, of presenting or supporting a proposal that does not comply with the laws and the Venezuelan Constitution,” he said during the press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV.
He stressed that there are ethical and moral disqualifications due to acts of corruption: “The truth is that at this point those who are disqualified are disabled, the rest is to fall for coba and lies,” he emphasized while stressing that the right does not want elections but violence.
Regarding the statements made by Bernabé Gutiérrez, who requested clarification of the alleged meeting between government sectors and María Corina Machado, the revolutionary leader: “We also want answers because there are those who hear voices and see things and confuse that with reality.”
He also questioned the interest that this opposition sector has in meeting with the Bolivarian Government.
“What's the reason? Who gave them the order? Who told them? If until yesterday I wanted to put an end to Chavism! What makes you change? The truth is that talking only to people that no one sees, that no one hears, who does not go, does not go; it is something that is very clear. It looks very bad to lie like that (about the supposed meetings) because it shows desperation,” he stressed.
