The Transitory Disposal Center in Caraballeda has a capacity to process 600 tons of debris per hour

With an installed capacity to process 600 tons per hour of debris, work is progressing on the Caraballeda Transitional Disposal Center, one of the main infrastructures for sanitation and reconstruction work in La Guaira after the double earthquake of last June 24, within the framework of the Decent and Safe Clearance Plan.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Public Works, the center covers an area of 8 hectares where 150 specialized workers work double shifts.

The center is supported by 27 heavy machinery teams to speed up the processing of the material, through a system of crushing, sorting and recovery, according to a press release from the Ministry of Public Works.

To protect the beaches and the marine ecosystem, the complex maintains a strict stretch of 10 meters from the coastline and operates with extension arm machinery, avoiding direct impact on the shore.
