Toletero Andrés Chaparro wins LVBP Rookie of the Year award

The player Andrés Chaparro, from the ninth player of the Águilas del Zulia, won the Rookie of the Year award for the 2023-2024 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).

Chaparro beat the outfielder of Navegantes del Magallanes, Carlos Rodríguez, by just one point. At the end of the selection process, Chaparro managed to score 149 points against his rival's 148, and was crowned champion.

The player from Las Aguilas recorded excellent numbers in his 35 games, where he batted for .336 average points, with 13 doubles, 5 home runs and 26 RBIs. He played as a key player in the Zulian team. Meanwhile, Carlos Rodríguez shone with the Magallanes Navegantes by hitting .354 with 9 doubles and 14 RBIs in 36 games.
