In order to guarantee traffic flow throughout the country, the National Government keeps tolls at the national level free of charging fees, following the contingency presented after the effects of recent seismic activities.
The measure, implemented immediately, was announced by Doanny Hernández, general director of the General Toll Office, who indicated that passage through the 75 stations remains free. “We are not charging, to allow humanitarian aid and the families of people who have suffered from this earthquake to reach their destinations without setbacks,” he said.
In addition, according to a press release, Hernández emphasized that this action will be in effect while the nation returns to normal in the affected area, in order to maintain fluid mobilization between states, and ensure the safe movement of citizens.
