The resident coordinator of the United Nations, Gianluca Rampolla, assured that the Venezuelan State is not presenting any restrictions or limits on access to humanitarian aid.

“There are no access limits (...) we have all the teams that, in addition, we have mobilized them through our mobilization platform,” he said.

He also explained that in the face of these contingencies it is necessary to have a coordination structure, “but there are absolutely no barriers to access”.

Regarding the number of victims, he said that he trusts the statistics given by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, “we ourselves are at the center of the crisis and I am confident that these numbers are real.”

Rampolla's statements dismantle a series of rumors generated through social networks against the management of the national government in the face of the emergency.
