The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that half of Gazans suffer from severe hunger and 90% regularly lack daily meals.

“On December 19, the regional director of the World Food Programme [ UN WFP] for the Middle East and North Africa reported that half of the population of Gaza is suffering from extreme or severe hunger, and 90% are left without food all day long,” the report states.

In this regard, he indicated that only 10% of food has arrived in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, on October 7, 2023.

As published by the Sputnik website, earlier this month, Thomas White, the director of the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Gaza Strip , reported that UN cars in the enclave were attacked with stones and several caravans with humanitarian aid were looted.
