Venezuela condemns terrorist attack in Iran

The Venezuelan government expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist attack against a police station in Rask County, in the province of Sistan and Baluchistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a statement, Venezuela expressed its condolences to the families and friends of the victims of this regrettable event.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela stands in solidarity with the brother People and Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and strongly condemns the terrorist attack that occurred against a police station in Rask County, in the province of Sistán and Baluchistan, on December 15, 2023, which left at least 11 police officers dead and 7 injured.

Venezuela extends its heartfelt words of condolences to the families and friends of the victims and its wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, and also urges that those responsible for this vile crime be brought to justice.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, within the framework of Peace Diplomacy, firmly rejects terrorism in all its manifestations and deplores any act of violence that is intended to cause terror and anxiety among the civilian population.

The Bolivarian Government reaffirms its total attachment to people's lives and physical integrity and considers that dialogue and understanding are the fundamental pillars of coexistence between nations, under the principles of international law.
