Venezuela dismissed the Indian medical delegation that dealt with the seismic contingency in La Rinconada

The Bolivarian Government dismissed with honor the delegation of the Republic of India that provided humanitarian medical assistance to the population affected by the earthquake of last June 24. The international contingent completed its support work at the strategically installed field hospital at the La Rinconada Racetrack, in Caracas.

This was reported by the Minister of Health, Dr. Carlos Alvarado, who highlighted the deep gratitude of the Venezuelan State to the Asian country.

According to a press release from the Health portfolio, during the day of assistance, the doctors and specialists of the Indian Army carried out 'Operation Friendship', a mission that transformed the equestrian facility into a vital care center equipped with tons of medical supplies and advanced equipment.

Healthcare personnel provided clinical laboratory, X-ray equipment for accurate diagnosis, emergency care and traumatology. These tasks operated with an uninterrupted and free service 24 hours a day for each citizen affected by the contingency.

In addition, the international delegation installed the innovative “BHISHM” (Health Initiative for Aid and Friendship) cubes, which consist of state-of-the-art portable hospitals specifically designed for disaster care with comprehensive treatment capacity. The health minister emphasized that this gesture of deep brotherhood consolidated the Diplomacy of Peace of the Bolivarian Revolution and united the ties of bilateral cooperation to guarantee the right to life of the people.
