Venezuela receives Egypt's new ambassador-designate Haitham Hosni

The Deputy Minister for Africa of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Yuri Pimentel, received this Monday, on a courtesy visit, the newly appointed ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Haitham Mohamed Hosni Mohamed Ibrahim.
During the meeting, held in the headquarters tower of the Foreign Ministry, in Caracas, the authorities discussed outstanding issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda.
The new Egyptian ambassador arrived in Venezuela on September 8 through the “Simon Bolivar” International Airport in La Guaira, and was greeted by the director general of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Africa, Marlon Peña.
Haitham Hosni holds a degree in Political Science from Cairo University and has extensive experience in diplomatic responsibilities inside and outside his country. In the foreign service, he has served in Egyptian missions in Cuba, Argentina, Sudan, Peru and Sierra Leone.
