Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
Announcement
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the sanctions imposed by the United States Department of State against officials and politicians of the sister Republic of Honduras on December 12, 2023, whose visa to enter that country has been revoked for alleged acts that threaten democratic stability.
The imposition of these coercive measures constitutes a violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign States.
It also represents a form of aggression and political pressure that seeks to undermine the integrity and stability of Honduras.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterates its solidarity with the people and Government of Honduras, and urges the Government of the United States to cease its interventionist and interventionist policy that threatens the peace and security of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples.
