With the objective of demonstrating territorial opportunities for the development of green and productive spaces, Jhoanna Carrillo, head of the Ministry of Popular Power of Urban Agriculture (MINPPAU), took a tour of the spaces of the Valle De Beraca Agrotourism Development, located in the Caricuao parish, Bolivarian Libertador municipality of Caracas, within the framework of the 8th anniversary of the said Ministry.

Carrillo also expressed his gratitude to the staff who carry out their work within Agrotourism Development, who produce and promote Agriculture with teaching for the youngest, in addition to the objective of achieving an agroecological parish in the city. “They are colleagues who make things possible despite difficulties,” he said.
During the tour, planting was carried out using an Agroforestry method for the production and recovery of productive spaces in the aforementioned Agrotourism Development. “Agroforestry has to be a spearhead to achieve reforestation with exploitable crops,” said the minister.
For his part, Aníbal Figueroa, agro-urban producer and spokesperson for the space, commented that for four years they have been developing the agro-tourism project together with family members and the community, for the production of broiler chickens, pork and agricultural production. “Thanks to this, we are a reference in our parish, where we are currently working hand in hand with the Tree Mission, to produce forest trees, to reforest, where necessary,” he said.
He added that the production unit has 33 people who make all the tasks possible, where 500 families from the UD3 Zoological Ecological Commune benefit from production. “Our main function must be to praise the work of our president Nicolás Maduro, to advance as a people and to produce ways of achieving social improvements for communities; we will achieve success for a better future,” he said.
