The Preliminary Committee of the National Assembly (AN) began the process to select seven representatives of civil society who would make up the Judicial Nominations Committee, said Deputy Giuseppe Alessandrello, coordinator of that body.
Alessandrello indicated that the reception and evaluation of applications will take place between October 2 and 9, 2026, with subsequent review by the dialogue table.
The deputy reported that the commission has finalized its work schedule, which will make it possible to submit to the AN, next Thursday, October 15, the names of the citizens who will make up the committee.
He also noted that the call for applications will be published in national media and newspapers from Friday, October 2 to 9.
The process is governed by article 68 of the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Justice, which establishes the requirements for applicants.
