Anzoátegui: New fiber optic network modernizes telecommunications in Valle Guanape

The town of Valle Guanape, in the Francisco del Carmen Carvajal municipality, was connected to the CANTV fiber optic network, after the execution of a project that made it possible to modernize transmission media and strengthen telecommunications in the western part of the state of Anzoátegui.

As part of the Technological Infrastructure Modernization Plan, the Company built 54 kilometers of fiber optic network, of which 31 kilometers were channeled through ditches with the installation of subducts and the construction of 11 new backup tanks. The deployment was completed with another 23 kilometers of optical fiber by air, optimizing connectivity in the area.

For the execution of the work, the support of PDVSA Gas was essential in the maneuvers carried out between the Santa Cruz cruise ship and the town of Guanape, which made it possible to complete the migration of radio transmission media to fiber optics.

CANTV was also accompanied by the mayors of the municipalities Manuel Ezequiel Bruzual and Francisco del Carmen Carvajal, who provided logistical support and protection to the crews during the days of laying, splicing and modernizing the technological infrastructure.

The mayor of the municipality Francisco del Carmen Carvajal, Elba María Chafardet, highlighted the impact of this work for the community:

“Today we celebrate a historic breakthrough for our municipality. Thanks to the joint effort between Cantv, the Bolivarian Government and the Popular Power, we can say that we have a connectivity that will promote the social, productive and technological development of Valle Guanape and Guanape.”

With this project, CANTV continues to make progress in modernizing its technological infrastructure to expand access to high-capacity telecommunications services and contribute to the social and productive development of communities.
