The president in charge Delcy Rodríguez assured that diversifying the economy has been the miraculous secret that has allowed a sanctioned and blocked Venezuela to have a path of sustained growth for 5 years.

As part of the National Pilgrimage for the cessation of sanctions, Rodríguez toured the Eulalia Buroz Commercial Port, in Anzoátegui, where he assured that he is seeing an economic explosion.

“What we are seeing on this pilgrimage is an economic explosion. We are seeing an Anzoátegui that diversifies its economy, which is the most important thing,” Rodríguez emphasized, stressing that the entity, historically recognized for its oil and gas potential, is now firmly consolidated as an agricultural, livestock and tourist power. “It really has natural beauties that are worth seeing, such as Mochima Park,” he added.

He indicated that the state occupies important positions in the economy: “in fishing the fourth state ranked in catch, in tourism it is also fourth and second in hotel occupancy.”

“I have also seen the projects, the new high-end hotel development projects that are being built in Barcelona. Also the reception of new investments in the oil, gas and petrochemical areas,” he emphasized.

He argued that what is wanted is for Anzoátegui to have economic growth and development for the happiness of the people and to translate into more employment, better income for workers.
