Apure health authorities denied rumors about the requirement to use masks

The health authorities of Apure state categorically denied rumors about the alleged requirement of the use of masks in the region due to the presence of hantavirus.


In this regard, the director of Insalud, Óscar Rebolledo, assured that there is no epidemiological emergency in the llanera entity and urged the population to remain absolutely calm to avoid the spread of false information on different digital platforms.


“We don't have any suspicious or confirmed cases in our outpatient network or our hospital network, we call for the tranquility, peace and serenity of our people in Apurea,” he said.


He also noted that “there is no plan for the mandatory use of masks either within health institutions or anywhere else.”
