Athlete Yorgelis Salazar wins Karate One Premier League title in Rome

Venezuelan Yorgelis Salazar returned to the top of the podium when she won the gold medal in the Karate One Premier League in Rome.

The Venezuelan defeated the Algerian Cylia Quikene (-50 kilograms) 6-3 in the tournament played at the Matteo Pellicone Olympic Center in the eternal city, capital of Italy, according to the sports press.

The victory in Rome earned Salazar the seventh title of his career in the Karate One Premier League, and the first gold in the competition since winning in Casablanca, Morocco, on May 31, 2024.

Salazar will return to action in the Premier League from April 10 to 12 at the third stop of Karate One, scheduled to be played in Leshan, China, where he will go for his second win of the year.
