The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, signed this Thursday the decree for the creation of the commission that will guide the Grand National Consultation on Criminal Justice reform.

At an event held from the Miraflores Palace, the president appointed the Attorney General of the Republic, Larry Davoe, the responsibility of assuming the secretariat of this body, due to his extensive experience in consultation processes in the field of human rights.

In this regard, he pointed out that the Amnesty Law has been based on forgiveness and on the reunion between all Venezuelans, including those who are abroad. “Right now we are looking for channels to also meet those who are outside our country,” he said.

“Let's not faint in the goal that Venezuelans can have respectful encounters for common ends. National union is a common goal but it is also a common good, because what can represent the union of a people in the face of external aggression,” said Rodríguez.
