The “August in Colors and History” program began its second week of reading and artistic creation activities aimed at boys and girls, at the César Rengifo temporary camp, in the Altagracia parish of Caracas.
The day, coordinated by the Ayacucho Library, resumed the story “Calavera”, by Rongny Sotillo and illustrated by Miguel A. Guerra, specifically the passage about Simon Bolivar's attention to a wounded soldier during the story of the Naval Battle of the Friars of 1816.
After reading, the participants drew a medical case from the time, including instruments, medicines and plants mentioned in the story.
The activity was accompanied by artists José Gregorio Cabello and Hugo Vidal, who guided the children in the exercise aimed at strengthening reading comprehension and stimulating their creativity.
