Through the contingency plan of the Girardot mayor's office in Aragua state, the direct delivery of materials and supplies for the reconstruction of 148 homes affected by the earthquake of last June 24 in Choroní began.
The teams offer direct help to a total of 173 families in the town, whose houses range from severe cracks in the mud walls to partial collapses. The supply of these construction materials, which include blocks and reinforcing steel, seeks to restore stability and habitability to their spaces.
Mayor Rafael Morales personally supervised the work of the work crews, which are already making progress in preparing support structures on active construction fronts, according to a press release.
