As part of the second stage of the Great National Pilgrimage, the governor of the state of Barinas, Adán Chávez, referred to the opposition and specified that it is possible to “find meeting points to work together”.

He stated that at this stage of the pilgrimage “we are showing alliances with private companies as established by some of our laws (...) We have nothing against private enterprise, on the contrary, the constitution contemplates it and what we need is to reach fair agreements on the basis of our constitution.”

He pointed out that on this day “we have direct contact with people and we listen to them in their needs. It means serving all sectors of the population as a revolutionary Government and we are showing that we believe in dialogue and that we want unity in peace.”

Chávez asked that “we must demand the lifting of the imposed blockade as well as the release of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, the deputy Cilia Flores.”
