Barrio Adentro Foundation promoted surgery at CDI in Porlamar

During an extraordinary medical day, nine patients received specialized surgical care at the facilities of the Comandante Hugo Chávez Frías Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), located in the city of Porlamar in the state of Nueva Esparta.

The institution's medical team successfully performed six inguinal hernia operations, two bilateral hernia operations and a lipoma removal, procedures that provided a timely response to the health requirements of the inhabitants of the area.

The day was made possible thanks to the coordinated effort between the Barrio Adentro Foundation and the Regional Health Directorate of the state of Nueva Esparta, bodies that combined institutional capacities to bring direct medical care to the heart of communities. With this type of operation, the National Government strengthens the National Public Health System (SPNS) and ratifies its commitment to guarantee the integral well-being of the Neospartan people.
