BCV announces 1% inflation in June, the lowest since 2012

The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) reported inflation data for June, which places it with the lowest rate so far in 2024. According to the institution, inflation was 1%.

Inflation has remained in the single digits for six consecutive months and closed at 1.0% during the month of June, the lowest in almost 12 years.

According to figures released this Monday by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), the National Consumer Price Index (INPC), which registered a decrease of 0.5% compared to the close of May when it closed at 1.5%.

It should be noted that this is the lowest inflation figure since July 2012, that is, 12 years, when the INPC also scored 1%. It is also the lowest for a month of June since there was a digital record in 2008.

As the year progressed, cumulative inflation at the national level in the first six months was 8.9%, the lowest for the same period since 2012 (7.3%), according to the BCV indicators.
