As part of the comprehensive care actions carried out after the earthquakes of last June 24, the Bank of Venezuela announced that the procedures for the granting of loans for the purchase of real estate can be carried out digitally.

The information was provided by the vice-president of Integral Business of the banking institution, Francesca Alessandrello, who explained that people who lost their main home will be able to apply for this financing managed through the Venezuela Renace Fund, according to the national press.

The executive specified that the procedure is carried out completely digitally through the institutional website, where the link with the corresponding requirements and the corresponding step by step is enabled.

For this approach, two support plans were structured. The first is intended for homes with a reference value between 70 thousand and 100 thousand dollars, which includes a 50% subsidy granted by the State through the Venezuela Renace Fund, while the remaining 50% is financed through a 25-year loan, with a 12-month grace period and an interest rate of 5%. The second plan applies to properties with a value of up to 70 thousand dollars, where the state subsidy amounts to 80% of the cost and the remaining 20% is liquidated through credit financing under the same conditions of time, grace and interest.

Alessandrello stressed that the financial institution is committed to issuing a response within no more than five days once the user submits the request with the complete file. Finally, he recalled that although the program is aimed at clients of the institution, any interested citizen can remotely open their account online and then activate it using Biopago devices located in the commercial network or bank offices.
