The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, pointed to the rainfall indicators that indicate the unusual intensity of the rains that caused rivers to overflow in the city of Caracas during the passage of Tropical Wave number 40.

“During the passage of Tropical Wave number 40, they represented, on average, 50% of the cumulative rainfall of the total of what was expected for the month of August,” he said, which is why he criticized those who, without considering these figures, attacked the National Government.

“Half of the rain in August one day and the next day fell, equivalent to a quarter of what was expected for the month of August, that is, in two days 75% of the rains that should fall in the month of August fell,” he specified and reiterated his criticism of those who use this type of situation to attack the Government without considering figures or causes.

“They are miserable,” he said.
