The head of Government of Caracas (GDC), Nahum Fernández, announced this Thursday the successful recovery of the churches in the central part of the Venezuelan capital, so that parishioners can travel the traditional route of the Seven Temples in comfort and safety this Holy Week 2026.
“We have left these beautiful and dignified spaces for the enjoyment of those who fulfill this important tradition of faith. Work was carried out to recover facades, lighting, waterproofing, as well as the restoration of grilles and doors,” Fernández said on his social networks.
He pointed out that thanks to the resources allocated by the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, these works were carried out for the benefit of the People, and, through a testimonial video, he showed the inspection carried out on the works.
In this regard, he wished that this traditional church tour “should also be a time of prayer, reflection and encounter with God, strengthening faith and hope in every heart”.
He took the opportunity to pray and strengthen the hope of every Venezuelan for peace in Venezuela and the full freedom of the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro Moros and the first lady Cilia Flores.
