President Delcy Rodríguez consolidates Venezuela's economic agenda with IMF in New York

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a high-level meeting this Monday with the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, in New York City.

The meeting takes place during the official visit of the head of state to United States territory to speak at the 81st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

During the conversation, the president was accompanied by the sectoral vice-president of Economy, Calixto Ortega; the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao; the Chancellor of the Republic, Félix Plasencia, and national diplomatic representatives.

The meeting made it possible to evaluate the joint agenda and international financial relations in the context of the high multilateral meeting.

The Bolivarian Government began talks with the IMF months ago, focusing on the exchange of views on macroeconomic prospects and the use of international reserves to finance the Venezuela Renace Plan and post-earthquake recovery.
