The Bolivarian Government began a technical and operational deployment in the Cacique Caribe urban planning, in the state of La Guaira, to carry out the structural rehabilitation and comprehensive refurbishment of this building affected by the two earthquakes of last June 24.
The direct inspection and supervision of the work was carried out by the sectoral vice-president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, together with the director of the Ministry of Popular Power for Public Works in La Guaira, Alirio Antequera, all in coordination with the Shock Force and organized popular power.
In this regard, Ramírez stressed that “preliminary technical evaluations, based on the habitability traffic light and seismic inspection of structures, catalogued the buildings at a yellow level, determining that the buildings are suitable for structural recovery through the reconstruction of walls, friezes and common areas. In total, the intervention covers 100 apartments to guarantee direct care for 115 families.”
For her part, the spokeswoman for urban planning Cacique Caribe, Yalusmar Ugueto, expressed the gratitude of the inhabitants for the continuous support of the State.
“We have had a helping hand with our colleagues who have not left us alone. Today we opened the temporary camp because they gave us the news that they came to rebuild our urban planning so that we can return to our homes, which is what we most want for the safety of our children and grandparents,” he said.
