This Friday, the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the deployment of the security operation for the holiday of Major Week, from the state of Anzoátegui. During his speech, the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace announced the relaunch of the Movement for Peace and Life, following the direct instructions of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez.

Cabello emphasized that its facilities will be open for the free use of youth and the people, but stressed the importance of co-responsibility in the care of the facilities. “There has to be repair, but also the necessary maintenance; a maintenance brigade that prevents expenses from piling up on major repairs,” he said.

This initiative seeks to articulate vertical gyms and sports spaces with crime prevention mechanisms throughout the country.

As part of the strategy to guarantee a quiet vacation, the sectoral vice-president reported on the deployment of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and its crime, scientific and technological laboratories at strategic control points. Cabello also urged citizens to collaborate with preventive checks and tests that will be carried out on the roads.

“You will be stopped at a checkpoint and you will likely be tested for alcohol or tests for illegal substances. Nobody should be offended by that; prevention is essential for these Holy Week holidays to be in peace and quiet,” he said.

He called attention to the current weather conditions, warning that the country is going through a special period due to a persistent heat wave.

Cabello, reported that during the field tests, temperatures of up to 40°C have been recorded, so he urged vacationers to take the necessary precautions for hydration and protection against the impact of extreme weather during their transfers and stays in tourist areas.
