The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, welcomed the fact that the United States Department of the Treasury is lifting sanctions against the country's Central Bank and public banks.

During a meeting with the productive and social sectors in the Association of Cattle Farmers of the State of Táchira (ASOGATA), Cabello Rondón described this action as a great achievement, because these sanctions against banks are part of a great manipulation.

“They keep saying that I have frozen accounts abroad, I challenge them to submit even an account that is in my name. The sanctions were not against Diosdado (...) , transactions with the Central Bank of Venezuela and all public banks were blocked. How is the country flowing? How do you give credits?” , he emphasized.

He also added that some are concerned about the issue of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), “but because of the pandemic, the IMF has money for Venezuela and that is the only way to obtain it, for this country to be part of the system,” he explained.

Cabello Rondón recalled that the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez has repeatedly called for us to join this great effort to continue moving forward until economic recovery is achieved.
