Cabello held a meeting with Vietnam's Minister of Foreign Affairs to strengthen ties of friendship (+photos)

This Tuesday, June 23 , the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace and general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, held a meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Le Hoai Trung, to deepen ties of friendship and brotherhood between the two nations.

In addition, the meeting held in Caracas was conducive to strengthening the agenda of work and cooperation with the Vietnam party and government in different areas of interest.

The meeting was also accompanied by the organizing secretary of the PSUV, Carmen Meléndez; and the members of the National Directorate of the PSUV, Rodbexa Poleo and Mervin Maldonado.

Venezuela and Vietnam maintain diplomatic relations characterized by political, economic and commercial cooperation, based on mutual respect and the strengthening of bilateral ties.

In recent years, both nations have promoted agreements in areas such as energy, agriculture, trade, education and culture, in addition to reaffirming their willingness to expand strategic cooperation for the benefit of their peoples.
